Marvel's Deadpool statue does the rounds in Japan

Having enthralled Marvel fans around the world, Deadpool will now release in Japan on June 1

Deadpool is scheduled to release in Japan on June 1, but the mercenary with a mouth is already entertaining people of that country. A huge statue of the Marvel character is doing the rounds across Japan, celebrating the movie's release in roughly twenty days time. (Read: How the Deadpool mask was made) The statue is roughly 23 ft tall and takes up the entire length of a truck's flatbed.

The giant Deadpool statue was unveiled on Monday in Osaka. Former sumo champ Akebono unveiled it for Marvel fans. After enthralling fans in Osaka, the statue will head towards Nagoyo and Tokyo. (Read: When Ryan Reynolds trolled himself on Twitter)
