The first month of 2018 is yet not done and we already can't for the year to get over. In fact, Game of Thrones fans would want the next year to knock on the door right now, if that were possible. After all, the final season of the popular fantasy series is to air next year after making us feel miserable all through 2018. And while we were waiting with bated breath for the final season's dates to be confirmed, our favourite Stark kid, Arya (sorry Jon Snow), aka Maisie Williams, has confirmed that the first episode of GoT season eight will land in Arpil 2019. Hallelujah!

Talking to Metro newspaper, Williams revealed the month the hit drama is supposed to debut. "We wrap in December and we air our first episode in April (2019). That's a four-month turnaround for these huge episodes. There's a lot that goes into the final edit. You would not want to rush this season at all," Williams said.

"We owe it to our audience and our fans to really do this final season to the best of our abilities," she added.
