It was the year 1997, I was about six years old and we went to watch The Lost World: Jurassic World. Not that I registered much back then, but it was an amazing experience, and later I caught up with all the movies when I could really understand what the hell was happening. Cut to 2015, we went for Jurassic World, and the world changed.

The reason I began with the Lost World anecdote is because the final trailer of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has dawned upon us. And it has full-on LW feels.

While JW picked up 22 years after the events that happened at Jurassic Park, JW:FK is picking up after disruption caused on Isla Nubular where our “friendly” dinosaurs roam free. They need to be evacuated as they face extinction due to an impending (read: mega) volcanic eruption.

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum (yuss, he's back) and James Cromwell are on a mission to save Blue — one of the last surviving velociraptor — and others, of course, only to learn that the whole mission was to make money and weird cross-bred dinosaurs out of the whole thing. Men never learn, do they?

Sounds hell a lot like Lost World? Well, Netizens can't get past that fact, and are discussing it at length. And we can't help but agree.

No, you're not.

Same to same.

Pretty much that.

True that, dude.

This is a bad idea in the history of bad ideas. Or maybe, NOT!

P.S. The new dino they have genetically made is called Indoraptor, who makes all hell break loose on the large estate it's on. Cute!

The film, written by Colin Trevorrow and directed by JA Bayona, is looking for a June 2018 release — we shall confirm the India release date with y'all when we know.

*goes back to awwing at Blue*
