IIFA awards was high on drama and goss, this year, too. Here's what caught our attention

Here are a few details that caught our eye from the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards held in Madrid, Spain:

Anil Kapoor was a proud papa when sonny boy Harshvardhan’s Mirzya trailer was showcased. He also won an award for Dil Dhadakne Do. Speaking at a special FICCI-IIFA global business forum, along with his Slumdog Millionaire co-star Freida Pinto, Kapoor made a pertinent point. Bollywood will need to learn to tell real stories if it has to remain relevant. Jhakaas!

Pee Cee was somewhat jittery before the final awards night as she was making her singing debut onstage. Rocking it in a plush gown and Cartier jewels on the red carpet, she made a decent debut as singer and won over audiences with her Pinga-driven ensemble performance.

Salman Khan remained (incorrigibly) himself for most part of the event. Making appearances at almost all red carpet events and the opening press conference, Salman said that knowing himself he should speak as little as possible. Wise call. He did have a cutesy moment with a little fan girl.

Maybe it’s just us, but you can’t quite miss Ameesha Patel’s evidently overflowing cup of love for the Khandaan. She was quite the poser with most of her co stars from a long, long time ago. Be it Salman or Sohail, Ameesha was seen hanging on to them in most of her social media posts. Patel performed at the IIFA rocks night.
