A few days ago, Abhay Deol tried to broach a point while talking about fairness creams and their respective campaigns, but seems like Uday Chopra has taken the onus on himself to debunk it. The Mohabbatein actor feels that fairness creams and hair colour are practically the same. Putting the proverbial each to his own into context, he wrote on Twitter, "What is this nonsense with fairness creams. If fairness creams are racist then so is hair color. It’s a personal choice! #NotRacist,”

He further added, "On fairness creams. If you need to use it, do it. It’s not a race issue, it’s a self esteem issue. Don’t do it if you think you are fine!"

He didn't stop there. Seems like Uday was up for some serious brainstorming as he mooted the issue on Facebook and opened the space for a debate on the same. On his Facebook wall, he wrote, " Fairness creams...talk to me."

The fairness cream debate started off with Abhay Deol's digs at top-notch actors like Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and John Abraham for promoting fairness campaigns. While Sonam chose to respond to Abhay's concern, other stars kept mum. Now that Sonam has found an unexpected supporter in the Chopra scion, we wonder if Abhay will respond to Uday's rather interesting tweets.
