Aamir Khan was generous in his praise for Salman on the holy occasion of Eid. When asked about Sultan, Salman Khan’s film, the thinking Khan was all gush. He cried while watching it, which for him is the salinity test. (Photo gallery: Aamir Khan attends Sultan screening with daughter Ira and the Dangal girls)
“I watched Sultan yesterday and completely loved it. I loved the story, the screenplay and the performances. Anushka has done a fantastic job. This film is an Eid gift. I smiled and I cried during the film. I cried a lot during the second half. It’s very inspiring and moving. If there’s any film that can break records it’s Sultan,” gushed Aamir, who recently called Salman's 'raped woman' comment "insensitive and unfortunate".
Aamir’s compliment is rich given that his film Pk! holds the box office record for the highest grossing Indian film till date. As his wife Kiran and youngest son Azad are traveling Europe, Aamir spent his Eid at home with his mother. Nephew Imran Khan with mom Nuzhat and wife Avantika, Aamir former wife Reena Dutt, his son Junaid and daughter Ira also came visiting.
“On the occasion I meet family and like to stay with them. When I was a kid I was more interested in Eidi (gift money) than Eid. Now I have to give the gift money to everyone,” he said.
Baby Azad apparently gets Rs 2 from his father as gift money on Eid. No spoiling and pampering for this star child. (Read: Azad sulks when his friend Aaradhya doesn't attend the Pro Kabaddi match)
