Karan Johar isn't happy with the latest allegations. Oops! Image: Fotocorp
Karan Johar has rubbished all reports that stated Ishaan Khatter would be a part of Student Of The Year 2. After the filmmaker recently unveiled the first poster of SOTY 2 featuring Tiger Shroff, there was a strong buzz that Ishaan would also be cast in the sequel. Considering Student Of The Year launched many new faces — Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra — many perceived that the sequel would have multiple heroes, too. Besides, just a few days ago it was reported that Ishaan is being launched by KJo in his next film Dhadak, so it wasn't wrong to assume that he is in Johar's good books — good enough to bag another project under his banner.
But vehemently trashing the entire hoopla, KJo took to Twitter to clarify that he has not cast Ishaan in SOTY 2.
"CLARIFICATION: Ishaan is the lead of #Dhadak directed by @ShashankKhaitan and Tiger Shroff is the Lead of #StudentOfTheYear2 directed by @punitdmalhotra ...all other cross stories floating around are baseless and untrue...." wrote Johar.

Ishaan will be seen in Johar's Dhadak alongside Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's daughter Janhvi. The film, a remake of the Marathi hit Sairat, is set to release next year. It is expected to go on the floors next month. The release date and the female lead for SOTY 2 are yet to be revealed.
