Monotony in work-life often gnaws away at our existence. The same 9-5 routine kills us from the inside and at a point, the only logical thing to do seems like quitting. But is giving up the only solution? Certainly not. Take a cue from Sidharth Malhotra. The Baar Baar Dekho star, who is currently one of the most sought-after actors in Bollywood, once thought of quitting the film industry only to realise it wasn't a wise option.

Apparently, there were times when nothing seemed right to Sid and he thought of quitting. But he soon brushed those thoughts away because he realised they were futile and wouldn't do him any good.

"There were times when I thought of quitting, but I brushed those thoughts away and wanted to give it more time. I used to think that it might seem unproductive right [then], but the Bollywood bug had bitten me," Sidharth told Hindustan Times in an interview on Saturday.

"I had nothing that was waiting for me back home. My family is not into business. We are a simple middle-class family. So, it wasn’t like they were waiting for me to come back and join the family business,” he added.

Sid doesn't belong to a filmy background and the decision to quit would have seen him go back to his hometown of Delhi, making a second coming not impossible, but certainly improbable. He also didn't want to worry his parents, which would have been inevitable had he gone back home.

Sid is now nine films old and he is certainly doing well for himself. So, folks don't quit, keep at it and success will follow.
