How does one manage to rope in a young superhero (Tiger Shroff) and a legendary superhero (Jackie Shroff) in a single celluloid frame? Well, the answer lies with the film’s director. So when a li'l birdie from the production unit of A Flying Jatt whispered into our ears that Jackie’s name was suggested to play the superhero’s father, we were on cloud nine. But our joy was short-lived, after film director Remo D’Souza sent us back to lithosphere for nurturing any such creative ideas. (Read: Days of Krrish are over, here's why)

It may be recalled that Tiger on more than one occasion has expressed his deepest desire to share screen space with his father. And each time there was a possibility, it fizzled out. Someone also mentioned that the second choice was Sunny Deol, but in vain again. “The role is really tiny. So, we have cast a lesser-known face. I never visualised Jackie Shroff or Sunny Deol in that part,” says D’Souza. (Read: Tiger Shroff doesn't eat chocolate and trains at 4 AM)

Apparently, the role was so itsy-bitsy that it was confined only to the living room wall frame – certainly not a place for Bollywood’s Jaggu Dada and Dhai kilo ka haath. (Read: Guess who is Tiger Shroff's inspo?)
