When you think of Kangana Ranaut, it is hard to ignore Queen (2013), the film that catapulted her to the position she now claims in Bollywood. And when you think of Queen, it is hard to forget Rajkummar Rao's contribution to the scheme of things in the movie that made it such a delightful watch.

So when we heard the duo is teaming up for a second time, five years after Queen, we were hoping it would, in some ways at least, bring back some of the magic from their previous outing. After all, imitation is the highest form of flattery. But the first look of their next, Mental Hai Kya, crushes all such hopes.

Judging by the first look released this morning, it seems to be a quirky fun ride with Kangy and Rajkummar in the lead roles. After all, crazy is the new normal, right? Rajkummar took to Twitter to share the image with the same message, and we couldn't agree more.

Soon after, producer Ekta Kapoor followed suit to add to Rajkummar's message and said, "It's time to bring out the crazy in you.. Because Sanity is overrated! Here's the first look of #MentalHaiKya starring #KanganaRanaut and @RajkummarRao. @balajimotionpic."

In an earlier interview, Ekta had revealed that the film celebrates beauty with all its imperfections. Which is why, perhaps, you see a cockeyed Kangy in the first look, instead of a smiling face, something that's associated with traditional beauty. Rajkummar, on the other hand, shows us the finger — OK people — we do get the madness of it all.

With so much left unsaid, these pictures surely amp up our curiosity. We can't wait to catch the trailer of this one.
