Zaira Wasim, last seen in Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar, has come out in the open and spoken about her ongoing battle with depression. She wrote a lengthy note and posted it on her social media timelines. But trolls will be trolls, and they immediately jumped to the conclusion that Zaira is doing it for publicity.
The 17-year-old actor, who grabbed headlines in December last year when she alleged that she was molested by a co-passenger aboard a Delhi-Mumbai flight, said she was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression four-and-a-half years ago.
Zaira added that when she tried to discuss it with others, people repeatedly advised her that she's "too young to be depressed" and that depression is "just a phase".
The young actor suggested that she might take a break from social media, school and professional life during the month of Ramadhan.
And now, people are blaming her mental condition for falsely accusing the man of molestation and called the whole depression ordeal a "publicity stunt".
Clearly, Netizens did what they do best — judge. Guess they forget that certain situations demand sensitivity. Not unwarranted judgement.
