Okay. Priyanka Chopra is shooting for Quantico, and will play a baddie in Baywatch, the movie. Deepika Padukone is set to scorch the screen in xXx: The Xander Cage. Irrfan Khan, already a name to reckon with in Hollywood, is awaiting the release of Inferno. And Manoj Bajpayee and Richa Chadha are also prepping up for their international outings. But did you know that it's not just our desi stars who are making a beeline to the West. Our good ol' Bollywood is also emerging as a hot spot for international actors.

And we aren't talking about cameos. 2016 is witnessing a slew of actors from the West taking up meaty roles in desi cinema.

Have a look at some of them:

Gemma Atkinson

Gemma Atkinson

British actor Gemma Atkinson made her debut in Bollywood with the Rajeev Khandelwal-starrer suspense thriller Fever, recently. To get a grip of her scenes and communicate with the crew she even learnt Hindi. The actor, who has appeared in films such as 13Hrs, How To Stop Being a Loser and Airborne, apparently was so amazed by the work culture and reach of Bollywood that she now wants to work here more often.

Erika Kaar

Polish actor Erika Karkuszewska, better known as Erika Kaar, is making her Bollywood appearance alongside Ajay Devgn in his directorial venture Shivaay. The actor has reportedly not watched any Hindi film as she wanted to have a fresh approach to her role. However, she is an ardent fan of Devgn’s wife Kajol on whose song Bole Chudiya she has danced several times in Bollywood bashes back home. Erika has been part of mostly TV series including The Passing Bells.

Nathan Jones

Tiger Shroff

For Australian wrestler-actor Nathan Jones, who is making his debut with A Flying Jatt as an antagonist, doing action scenes in the superhero flick was not a challenge. Mouthing dialogues in Hindi was. But the Mad Max: Fury Road actor managed, and his first ever movie co-starring Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez is all set to release this month.

Caterina Murino

Caterina Murino debuts in Bollywood with Fever

Her intimate kiss with Daniel Craig in Casino Royale is still fresh in people’s mind. She tried to recreate the same feeling in her debut Bollywwod film Fever with her co-star Khandelwal. And succeeded is hitting the headlines for that. Her passionate kiss with him was one the most-talked-about points of the film, which was shot in Switzerland. Since she missed the opportunity to shoot the film in India, she made sure to visit the country during promotions.

Zhu Zhu

Salman Khan with Chinese actor Zhu Zhu

Chinese actor  Zhu Zhu is the latest international export, who will most likely be romancing Salman Khan in his next Tubelight. Though the official announcement is yet to be made, she recently spilled the beans on her Instagram account. While she removed her pic with Salman within hours, a slew of posts featuring Zhu Zhu in Ladakh, where the film is currently being shot are visible on her timeline. Zhu Zhu has already starred in movies such as What Women Want, Shanghai Calling, The Man with the Iron Fists and Last Flight.
