You need to move over T'Challa — no seriously, we probably wouldn't even notice him in Black Panther 2, if these casting rumours are true. Because the #JusticeForKillmonger hashtag was too strong to be ignored and Mr Dreadlocks aka Michael B Jordan is reportedly set to return in Black Panther 2.
And he brings friends — the most relevant millennial icon — Donald Glover. If reports are to be believed, Glover is in talks to play a baddie in Black Panther 2, perhaps the most anticipated MCU sequel.
"Ryan Coogler (director) is currently mapping out Black Panther’s sequel and has written in a number of new characters that movie-goers will be introduced to when it premieres. One of those characters, if he gets his wish, will be played by Childish Gambino (Donald Glover's stage name)," a source revealed to Metro.
The source also revealed that Jordan, who stormed MCU with his ex-Black Ops supervillain Eric Killmonger, is set to make a comeback.
"Nothing is set in stone but 'informal talks' (are happening) between Ryan, Gambino and reps from Marvel and Disney to see if they can make it happen," the source added.
Interestingly, this is not the first time Glover will play an MCU antagonist. He played the role of a small-time criminal in Spider-Man: Homecoming. That's before he totally broke all records with his political number This is America. And he also plays a pansexual smuggler Lando Calrissian, in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
We're telling you — T'Challa's time is over. Tweeple agree with us, BTW.
