Kangana Ranaut is not known as the Queen of Bollywood for nothing. She's started from scratch and created a fortress of content-driven films around her with just her acting prowess. Interestingly, however, she's done all this without the help of any bigwig co-stars. So when the Simran actor was asked in a recent interview with Deccan Chronicle if it was a conscious decision on her part to stay away from big stars, pat came her response. "Of course it is. Whenever I have done films with established stars, they surprisingly didn’t work at the box office," said Kangy.

Kangana says that the realisation dawned upon her after doing films such as Katti Batti, opposite Imran Khan, and more recently, Rangoon, co-starring Shahid Kapoor and her nepotism opponent, Saif Ali Khan. "Be it Katti Batti or Rangoon... In fact, I don’t regret leaving Sultan even for that matter," said Kangana.

Kangy would much rather bank on sleeper hits such as Queen, and hopes that Simran, too, will strike the right chords. She believes that life isn't a bed of roses but also vouches for the fact that it is the most beautiful phase of her life.
