After two successful outings, the Dabangg franchise is all set to kick off its third venture. But this time, Arbaaz Khan will not don the director's hat. It's Prabhudeva who will helm the project. And Arbaaz has complete confidence in the new captain of the ship, as he believes Prabhudeva understands the franchise well, and will give a new feel to the movie.
"He has been a film guy for the longest time. He understands the audience. There are a lot of suggestions that come from him. He is a confident director. He has watched both the films and is a fan. He understands the franchise too well by now," Arbaaz told Hindustan Times.
Arbaaz is quite impressed by Prabhudeva's work in Rowdy Rathore and Wanted, and believes that he will do justice to the third installment of the Dabangg series.
However, this doesn't mean Arbaaz will have no involvement with the project. He will produce the film and will be responsible for all that takes place behind the camera.
Arbaaz, who also acted in the first two films, said pre-production work will begin soon, as the script has almost been finalised. He added that every member of the Dabangg 3 team is aware of the huge expectations regarding the film and will put in their best efforts to deliver a complete entertainer like its two predecessors.
"We are conscious of the brand, we are conscious of the character and his likeability. And it is important for us to do justice to it. We know we have to do the best," the Hello Brother actor was quoted as saying in the report.
Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha will reprise their roles in the film. The makers are yet to zero in on the rest of the cast.
