Tiger has been under rigorous training for his upcoming action film Baaghi Image: Anuja Gupta
For his film Baaghi, which releases later this month, Tiger Shroff has been training under a real action guru Master Shifu T Prabhakar Reddy. This real Shifu (not the one from Kung Fu Panda who is master of Tigress) trains Black Cat commandos in the Indian Army (we checked). (Watch: Baaghi Tiger flexes his muscles, Shraddha gushes)
We caught up with the action specialist and he called Tiger a ‘soldier’ of fitness and said he had given him a signature pose. “Master Bruce Lee has a signature move, no one in India does. For this film, we designed one move, Vor Vattam, in which Tiger is using his own style of Kalaripayattu,” Prabhakar Reddy said. He added, “It takes a minimum of 8 years to stay in that position for a long time. We had to shoot 7 to 8 takes. But Tiger wouldn't eat until he got it right. He has also done a backflip which very few actors can pull off.” The trailer of Baaghi does promise some slick action.
Tiger told us, “Sometimes, I train all day. I even miss meals because I get very frustrated when I can’t get a pose right or I can’t hold a position for some time.” Maybe Tiger Shroff will kick his way into the vacant action hero space in Hindi cinema with Baaghi.
